Exhibition Don't kill me i'm in love
Dedicated to Timur Vladimirovich Kacharava

Timur Kacharava was a vegan, activist and
repeatedly participated in anti-fascist demonstrations.
He was an organizer of the "Food not Bombs" movement
in St. Petersburg, whose members prepared
vegan food for the homeless and fed them
in Vladimirskaya Square; in connection with these
activities he received threats from the Nazis.

According to witnesses, on November 13, 2005,
at about 7 p.m., Kacharava and his friend
Maxim Zgibai were attacked by several short-haired
young men with knives in Vosstaniya Square in
St. Petersburg, near the entrance to the "Bookwoid" store;
Kacharava suffered six stab wounds to his neck,
from which he died. Zgibai, who still had
time to run into the salesroom, suffered head
and chest injuries and was hospitalized in
serious condition. Kacharava's death caused
great public outrage, as it was a Nazi and
politically motivated murder.
In June 2007, as part of the project
"In Peace Over Petersburg", a photo exhibition
by Timur Kacharava was held at the PicArt
creative center in St. Petersburg. The exhibition
was named after one of the photos Timur
had taken three months before his death,
showing the inscription "Don't kill me, I'm in love".
